Help with the Ergates app for iPhone and Android

Ergates lets you chat with the AI assistants on your own Hermes Agent server, create new ones and change how they work, right from your phone. It doesn't come with a server of its own, so you connect it to a Hermes server that you or your organization runs.

Connect to your server

1. Open Ergates. The first screen asks you to connect a gateway.
2. Enter a name you'll recognize and the address of your Hermes server, for example https://hermes.example.com.
3. Tap Check. The app asks the server how you sign in.
4. Enter your username and password for the server and tap Connect.

Your assistants then show up on the Home screen.

Something not working?

• "Could not load your assistants": the app can't reach your server. Make sure the server is running and the address is right.
• The address doesn't work on Android: Android only connects to servers on the internet over HTTPS, so use an address that starts with https://.
• Sign-in fails: double-check your username and password with whoever runs your server.

Remove your data

In the app, open Settings and tap Sign out. That wipes the server and everything the app stored for it from your phone. Your chats and assistants stay on your server; to delete those, use your Hermes server. The privacy policy has all the details.
